By purchasing life insurance, you make arranging for your funeral easier on your relatives, and can provide a financial safety cushion for them, especially if you are the primary source of income for your family. However, in order for your life insurance to be usable, you have to pay monthly premiums. There are several payment methods but, unfortunately, in person payments are often not possible. None of these payment methods allow you to use cash to pay your bill.
Paying over the Phone
Due to the unavailability of paying your premium at your local Globe office, if you prefer contact with a live person while you are paying your bill you will have to call Globe Life Insurance’s toll-free phone number during business hours. In order to make the payment, you will need to know your account number and the numbers on your chosen credit or debit card. You might also be forced to wait a minimum of several minutes, and often far longer, in order to speak with a Globe Life Insurance representative, and you will need to make the call in a quiet, private place to eliminate any interruptions and background noises which can complicate the payment process. This is the method best suited for making late payments or those payments very close to being late.
Paying Via Mailed Check
Mailing your premium payment as a check is the method that takes the longest to be received and processed, due to the speeds of the postal system. If you choose to mail your payment, you will need to use a check or money order, and will need to write your account number on all checks or money orders that you end up using. Because this method takes the longest amount of time, it is not suitable for last-minute or late payments, as the payment will be even later than it was originally.
Globe Life Insurance Online Payments
If you need to make a payment and do not have to rush but also prefer to not mail checks, then making the payment online is probably your best option. In order to do so, you will need to create an account on the Globe Life Insurance website (www.globeontheweb.com), including your account number and identifying information in your registration form, and then verify your account creation via an emailed link. If you do not verify the account, it will not be valid. Once you have created the account, you can proceed to the payment page, where you will be prompted to enter credit or debit card information. If the numbers you enter in the fields do not match the numbers on the card, your payment will not be received and your insurance will not be valid. If you want to set up recurring payments, there will be a box on the payment page for you to select, with the added option of choosing the payment date.
By paying for life insurance, you provide certainty for your family that, in the even of your death, they will be sufficiently provided for and will be able to pay for your funeral service without putting any financial strain on the family, which will reduce the stress during a horrific time.
