Customers have the opportunity to pay their bill online with Illinois American Water. Customers can log in or set up and online account, where they will have a variety of options to make their bill payment experience painless. With the new self service option customers can make payments, view billing and payment history, see account activity for the past two years, update account information, start or stop services. You can manage your account in a way that works best for you. With the Self Service options customers can also set up their account for automatic bill payments and Ebilling. Pay through Mail
Each month Illinois American Water will send out statement to the service address provided. They will include a pre addressed envelope where you can conveniently return your payment to the office. Payments that are accepted via mail are check or or money order. Do not send cash with your payment. Be sure to allow sufficient time for you payment to arrive at the office to avoid any disconnections or late fees. Also you will need to be sure that you return your bill stub with your payment. Automatic payments
If you don’t want to have to worry with when your payments are due each month, you can set your account for automatic payments. These payments will directly deducted from your checking or savings account each month. Customers who wish to enroll in automatic payments must first fill out registration form. Make sure to check with your financial institution to verify that they allow automatic payments from your accounts. Some institutions do not allow automatic payments from savings accounts.
Pay by Phone
Payments can be made over the phone using your credit/debit card. There will be a service fee attached for using this service. You will need to make sure that you have your account number handy when calling in for faster processing. For customers who choose to make their payments over the phone they may call 1-866-271-5522.
Payment locations
Illinois Water customers can pay their bill in a variety of payment locations. These payment locations do not take payments that are mailed to them.
