Paying a AAA Bill Online

AAA InsuranceEven if you have a AAA account prior to 2010, things have changed enough in the time since that reviewing the options is still a good idea, especially if it’s been several years since you last were a AAA member.

Benefits of an AAA Online Account

Having an online AAA account allows you to more easily pay your bills, and will also allow you to see any AAA claims that have been made against your account.  The bill paying is both easier and quicker online, due to the lesser amount of effort involved in clicking buttons and typing words, and it is quicker because you will neither have to stand in line at the local AAA office nor wait on hold with the AAA Customer Service team.  The online bill-paying system can also be accessed at any time of the day, in contrast to the other methods.

AAA Paying Online

In order to make online payments and view your account status, you will need to create an account.  Even if you had an account before 2010, you will still need to create a new account, due to drastic changes in the site content and navigation.  In order to create the account, you will need to input identifying information into the appropriate fields on the form, including your name, the account number on your AAA member’s card, and the zip code in which you reside.  Once you enter your email address and click register, a verification email will be sent to you.  By clicking on the link in the email, you will make sure that no one else will be able to use your account, and you can finish setting up the account.  Once you have successfully created and verified your account, click on the ‘Membership’ tab near the top of the page.  The membership page will have the details of your membership, including the date you registered, the date you are paid through and the balance due, if any.  By clicking on ‘Renew Your Membership’, you will be taken to the payment page, where you will be asked to enter either credit or debit card information in order to pay for your coverage.

Automatic Payments

If you are a busy person and do not have time to manually pay your AAA fees every month, or you do not have regular access to a computer with which to pay your bill, setting up automatic payments could be a good choice.  By setting up your account to automatically draw for your chosen bank account, you make sure that you will never be late with a payment, and you remove some of the stress and hassle of remembering to make your payment.  However, if you do not have sufficient funds in your account on the withdrawal date, the payment will not go through, which will put your AAA coverage into jeopardy.
Online payments are one of the most convenient ways to pay your AAA fees, and are the fastest way of making sure that the money is transferred quickly and accurately, and can be done at any time that suits your schedule.  Online payments can also be done anywhere with a secure internet connections, though it is unadvisable to do them using public internet connections.
