JEA Billing and Payment Options

JEA is located in Jacksonville, Florida.  Serving nearly a million customers in Northeast Florida, they have a goal to provide reliable services for a great value to their customers.  They want to make sure that the community they serves knows they care about every aspect of the services they provide including the way they allow you to pay on your account.  With JEA’s bill payment services they show the community that it’s their money and you have choices.  Being able to pay your bill in a manner that best suits your needs is just one way JEA does just that.  JEA offers several options from Budget Billing to Ebilling allowing you to find the way the fits you best.

We all know that those bills can get tight from time to time.  Why not take the surprise out of what your next bill will be and set up your JEA account for budget billing.  With budget billing you know exactly what your bill is going to be each and every month and there is no longer any surprises.  This allows you to better manage your finances each and every month, giving you a little more control over what you spend each month.  If you are interested in learning more about how JEA can help you with Budget Billing, you can learn more about their program here

By setting up your JEA account for Ebilling you no longer have to worry about the hassle of mailing out your bill each month, writing checks, buying stamps or even worry about it coming late in the mail.  Every month when your bill is due JEA will send out a notification to the email address that they have on file.  This will then allow you to view all aspects of your current billing cycle, previous usages, billing and payment histories, and the ability to make a payment.  You don’t have to worry any longer if your personal information is being kept safe as is is floating from place to place before it gets to the JEA payment headquarters as it is secure with the JEA Ebilling system.  If you desire to sign up for Ebilling you will need to first register as a JEA user.  If you already have a JEA account and are already logged in, you can sign up here.

Are you running short on time and need to make your payment now?  With JEA you can make a payment online without and service fees.  You can make your payment directly from your checking or savings account, or you can use your credit/debit cards as well.  If you chose to make your payment with a credit or debit card, there will be a service fee of $4.95 added to the transaction.  If you are wanting to Pay online you need to register for a free JEA account.  After you have registered for your account and have logged in you can then go to pay by bill and you will be on your way.

Not having to worry about paying your bill every month can relieve a huge stress off of you.  If you sign up for JEA’s auto pay you will no longer have to worry about it.  JEA makes automatic deductions from your checking or savings account each month when the bill is due.  Customers who are interested in Auto Pay must first register.  After that you will go to the part of your online account you can just simply visit the Auto Pay Pageand set it up.

So you worked late and cannot make it to the post office in time to get your payment in the box before they lock the doors.  No worries.  With JEA’s Pay by Phone option you are able to make payments to your account 24 hours a day 7 days a week.  Payments that are accepted over the phone are checking, savings, credit or debit.  There will be a service fee added to the transaction of $4.95 for every $400 dollars.  The payments are posted immediately to your account.  So there is no worry about late fees or disconnections.

As always the US Postal Service is always available to make your payment.  You can send your payment along with your bill stub back in the pre-addressed envelope.  Payments that are accepted are checks or money orders.  Do not send cash in the mail.  Please be sure to allow plenty of time for your bill to arrive to avoid any service disruptions.

You got to pick up some groceries right?  Well that bill in your purse isn’t going to mail itself.  Why not kill two birds with one stone?  You can pay your bill at one of several convenient payment Centers.  Participating stores include Winn Dixie, Duval Country Tax Collector’s Officeor any of JEA’s authorized locations.  Be sure to have your bill and account number when using one of these locations.

JEA is always receptive to the needs of their customers and understands that sometimes good people fall on hard times.  That is why they are able to offer their customers an Extension.  If you need a little more time to pay, you can see if you qualify for an extension.  If you do qualify, you will be granted a new due date on your bill.  To fill out a request for extension, simply go here.
